In Subbu, shipping services define how consignments are created and sent through your connected shipping partners. By setting up and configuring a shipping service, you can control automation, shipping rules, store service matching, and more

This guide walks you through the process of creating a new shipping service and customising its settings to match your workflow.


Step 1 - Access the Shipping Section

  • From the Subbu dashboard, navigate to the Shipping tab.




Step 2 - Create a New Shipping Service

  • Click on Create New Shipping Service.




Step 3 - Enter Service Details

  • Service Code: Enter the code provided by your shipping partner.

  • Service Name: Give the service a clear and descriptive name.

  • Click Create to proceed.




Step 4 - Configure Service Settings

Once the service is created, you will be redirected to additional configuration options:

Optional Settings:

  • Max Weight & Dimensions: Define the maximum weight and dimensions allowed for this service.

  • Service Region: Specify if the service is limited to a particular country.




Required Settings:

  • Shipping Partner: Assign the shipping partner that will handle this service.

  • Automation Settings:

    • Enable Auto Create Consignment if you want Subbu to generate consignments automatically.

    • Enable Auto Submit to Partner if you want the system to submit consignments to your shipping partner without manual intervention.




Optional Enhancements:

  • Shipping Rules: Define specific conditions under which the service should apply.

  • Insurance Settings: Configure optional insurance parameters.

  • Duty Settings: Set duty and customs-related preferences.

  • Default Goods Description: Provide a default description for the goods being shipped.




Step 5 - Configure Store Shipping Service Matching

  • Use this section to map the shipping service to store-specific shipping options.

  • You can use wildcards (%) for flexible matching:

    • %Express matches any service ending with "Express"

    • Express% matches any service starting with "Express"

    • %Express% matches any service that contains the word "Express"




Step 6 - Save Your Configuration

  • Once all settings are configured, click Save Changes to activate the new shipping service
