Connect Shopify to Subbu to automatically sync products, orders, and inventory, saving you time and reducing errors.

Follow the step-by-step guide below (or watch the video if you prefer a walkthrough).


Step 1 - Add Shopify as a Channel in Subbu


  1. In Subbu, click Channels in the main menu.

  2. Click Add Channel.

  3. From the Channel dropdown, select SHOPIFY.

  4. Enter a name for your Shopify store.

  5. In the End Point field, enter your store URL (e.g., yourstore.myshopify.com).

  6. Tick Install After Creating.

  7. Click CREATE.



Step 2 - Configure the Shopify App


  1. Click CONFIGURE CUSTOM APP.

  2. Name the app Subbu.

  3. Click Configure Admin API Scopes.



Step 3 - Set Required API Permissions


Under each heading, tick the following permissions:

  • Productswrite_products, read_products

  • Orderswrite_orders, read_orders

  • Locationsread_locations

  • Inventorywrite_inventory, read_inventory

  • Assigned Fulfillment Orderswrite_assigned_fulfillment_orders, read_assigned_fulfillment_orders

  • Merchant-managed Fulfillment Orderswrite_merchant_managed_fulfillment_orders, read_merchant_managed_fulfillment_orders

Click Save when finished.



Step 4 - Install and Connect the App


  1. Click API credentials.

  2. Click Install app.

  3. Click Install again to confirm.

  4. Copy the Admin API access token.

  5. Paste this token into the Token field in Subbu.



Step 5 - Final Setup


  1. Click INSTALL WEBHOOKS in Subbu.

  2. Click GET LOCATION HANDLE.



Important: Shopify Checkout Setting


In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Checkout and make sure Automatically archive the order is disabled.

If this is enabled, Subbu will not be able to communicate with Shopify about orders after they are fulfilled.

18. Click on API credentials


19. Click on Install app


20. Click on Install


21. Copy the Admin API access token


22. Paste this into the Token field


23. Click on INSTALL WEBHOOKS


24. Click on GET LOCATION HANDLE







N.B it is important that in the Shopify settings under "Check Out" that Automatically Archive the order is disabled, as this stops Subbu being able to communicate with Shopify regarding orders once fulfilled.
