Connect Subbu to your WMS

This guide explains how to connect Subbu to y warehouse management system (WMS). The customer completes the setup in Subbu, while the WMS partner provides the webhook URL and configures the integration in the WMS.

Before you begin

Customer requirements ( Step 2)

The customer will need:

  • Access to Subbu

  • Access to the relevant Subbu account and API settings

  • Permission to create an API key

  • The webhook URL provided by the WMS partner

Keep the Subbu API key secure. It provides access to your Subbu account and should only be shared with the authorised WMS partner or entered into the authorised WMS integration.

WMS partner requirements ( Step 1,3 and 4)

The WMS partner will need:

  • Access to the WMS

  • The webhook URL for the Subbu connection

  • Access to the relevant contract and integration settings in the WMS

  • The Subbu API key provided by the customer




1. WMS partner: Send the WMS webhook URL to the customer.


  • Obtain the webhook URL from your WMS partner.



  • send  the webhook URL to the customer for them to set into the API Target field in Subbu.


2. Customer: Create the API connection in Subbu


  • In Subbu, select APIs.

  • Select Create New API Key.

  • Enter a clear name for the connection, such as the name of your WMS and select Create.

  • Enable all permissions required by the WMS.

  • Set Target Transport to HTTP Webhook Post, this you get from the WMS partner they can be directed to step 2.

  • Set the API as active.

  • Save the Details top right.

  • Scroll down to the bottom and take the API Key and send this over to your WMS partner

3. WMS partner: Configure the integration in the WMS


  • In the WMS, go to Accounts > Contracts.

  • Open the contract that will use the Subbu integration.

Open Operators and add a Shopify Integration Operator.

  • Create the API details

  • Return to Accounts and select SUBBU Integration.

  • Select Add Subbu Integration.

  • Find and select the integration created for the contract and select Create.

  • Set the integration if needed to Active.

  • Enter an email address for the Subbu customer to get email confirmations.

  • Enter the API key provided by the customer into the API key field.

  • Select Save and Close.

  • Select Refresh View to display the updated connection.

  • The intergration will sow in the list.

4. WMS partner: Complete the initial product sync


  • Select the new integration in the WMS.

  • Select Subbu Sync.

  • Choose the SKUs you want to sync. You can select individual SKUs or use the toggle to select all.

  • Select Sync Selected.

  • If a selected SKU does not already exist in the WMS, select Create SKU. Leave this option clear for SKUs that already exist. Select Yes to confirm the sync.

  • When the process is complete, the selected products will be marked as Synced.

Connection complete

The customer has completed the Subbu setup, and the WMS partner has configured the WMS integration. Subbu and the WMS are now connected, and the selected products have been synced.

If the connection or sync fails, check that:

  • The webhook URL was provided and copied correctly

  • The API key was entered correctly

  • The integration is active

  • The required API permissions are enabled

  • The correct contract and integration were selected

  • The WMS partner completed the integration setup in the WMS
